Walu is a networking app that offers a simple way to meet people near you and form new friendships (or whatever other kind of connection that might arise) with other users. Through geolocation you can get in touch with profiles who are physically nearby, so you make plans to meet up with your future friends in person.

When you start out in the app you'll have to add your name, gender, and age. Then you can set whether you'd like to meet men or women and their preferred age range, and the maximum radius to search within. Walu also has an option to register without supplying any personal data, so you can stay anonymous and only provide personal details when you feel comfortable.

Once you've got your profile set up, you can access the list of nearby people in the Walu community. Check out their profile pics, name, age, and distance and, if you like, send them friend requests. You have a limited number of requests every day.
